RATES & PACKAGES
For your horseback riding holidays we invite you to join us for
a time in the saddle as a guest wrangler. An interest in horses,
riding, western ranch life or the thrill of the great outdoors is
paramount in obtaining the utmost enjoyment during your vacation
in the beautiful vistas and rolling ridges that adorn southwestern
Alberta's countryside.
The following packages will vary according to capabilities and is
left up to the discretion of Sierra West. This can be discussed
during our pre-booking calls or e-mails. Sierra West reserves the
right to cancel any ranch activity that is deemed unsafe due to
poor weather conditions.
It is highly recommended that guests bring and wear their own riding helmets,
however we do have a few on hand which are self-adjusting & you are more than welcome to use if you wish.
Riding
$45.00 - 1 hour (advanced booking recommended)
$35.00/hour – 2 hours or more (advanced booking recommended)
Cattle Work
$50.00/hour/horse (advanced booking recommended)
$15.00/hour – your horse + $35.00/hour for ranch wrangler/instructor (up to 6 guests, advanced booking recommended)
Wrangler/Guide
$35.00/hour/guide fee when using your own horse(s) whether it be trail riding or cattle work.
Larger groups will require the use of 2 guides (possibly more - depending upon size of group)
and will be charged accordingly.
Horse Lodging $8.00/horse/night (Guests must bring their own weed free hay or cubes).
Camping $25.00/unit/night
High Country Day Ride
$165.00/person (minimum 2)
Come ride the High Country with us and enjoy the smell of wild flowers
and unending scenery. We will guide you on a wonderful 4 1/2 - 5 hours horseback
ride which will include a tasty lunch at our half way destination
point.
Frontier Cattle Drive dates are July 13 & 14, 2013 and Aug 10 & 11, 2013
"The Best Little Cattle Drive in the West" Cost - $550.00 (our horse & tack),
$375.00 (your horse & tack). Saddle up and
ride with the Sierra West wranglers on our 2013 Cattle Drive. This year
our trip will take you through some of the most scenic mountain
countryside nestled close to the base of the majestic Livingstone
Mountain range in southwestern Alberta. Step back into the pages
of time and experience a taste of the "Old West" as we ride the
open ranges, drive cattle, indulge in down home country cooking
and tell yarns & sing songs around the campfire. You will marvel
at the breath-taking scenery, serenity of nature and the comradeship
of fellow horsemen. We'll create an adventure you'll remember forever

Hunting
Here in southwestern Alberta we are situated at 4 major hunting
zones - 306, 402, 308 & 305. Elk, White Tail Deer & Mule Deer are
the main Big Game animals hunted here. Black Bear & Cougar are also
sought after, although Gopher hunting is becoming a popular spring/summer
sport.

Other Information
-Transportation from the Calgary International Airport - $300.00 round trip (up to 2 people)
and $50.00/person thereafter to a maximum of 4 guests in the same trip.
-All fees are in Canadian funds and subject to 5% GST.
-No smoking in Cabins/Bunkhouses.
-No pets allowed.
-50% deposit due upon booking - remainder upon arrival.
-We accept cash, cheque, visa, master card, debit.
Cancellation
- If notice of cancellation is received 31 + days prior to your scheduled arrival - your deposit
less a $150.00 Administration fee will be refunded.
- If notice of cancellation is received 30 days or less prior to your scheduled
arrival - deposit not refunded.
- We encourage guests to purchase
their own trip cancellation insurance.
- Guests are responsible
for personal health and accident insurance.
